St. Tropez Hotel on Orient Beach?

On our first trip to Orient Beach (years ago) we stayed at the St. Tropez. Does it still exist under another name or was it damaged in the Hurricane?

We haven't been back in a while obviously.

Thanks in advance!

There is a St. Tropez next to the Village on Avenue Des Plages.

We stayed at the PLM St Tropez in Marigot on our first two trips to St Martin in the late 70's. It was later converted to apartments. Had something to do with the French tax laws at the time which fully depreciated commercial properties in 10 years. Theis property was just west of Marigot and east of the bridge that led to Happy Bay and eventually the airport. Hope this helps.
Does anyone have any insight on the Orient Beach Hotel. We are staying there next month and was hoping to get some info.

You sent me a PM earlier, but for some reason I'm unable to respond to PMs.

We have no info on the hotel. I think it is relatively new. One of the former employees from Club O is now running the hotel, but I have forgotten who it is.

Thanks Christa, We will soon find out
We stayed at Orient Beach Hotel last May and it was very nice as was the staff. They even arranged for a nurse to come to our room for Covid testing prior to our return to the States. Stay on the top floor if possible because the view is fantastic.
We really want to go back this year, but we're getting cold feet due to the testing etc... I'll be anxious to hear how it went. We miss Cedric and his nice setup down there.
We are in the Orient beach hotel now. Just arrived Wednesday. We’re triple vaccinated, did not have to test before flying from Little Rock through Atlanta. Left at 5AM, here at 2:40 PM, no crowds at airport(made it in before the Air France). Beautiful! Pics to follow smile

The island appears to have recovered quite a bit, maybe 80%. Most of the homes have repaired roofs. Most hotels appear open, few wrecked yachts anywhere. No teen gangs stopped us on the road, school in Marigot open again. Need a billionaire buyer for Club O though…

Nice Pics, Have a great time. We will be there in April!

Life's a beach!
Could not find Pedro, but second hand news is that he may be starting something up near the Orient beach bar, where we were today. We spent the whole day on the Club O side of the beach. Same chairs, happy hour 1:30-2:30, beach and water just as nice as before, lots of trumpet fish and sergeant majors. We’ve arranged our corona virus antigen test at the Club Orient hotel, the day before we leave.

Any sign of starting a rebuild at Club O? We miss the resort, Staying at Orient Beach hotel this trip but it would sure be nice if the resort was up and running
No, no signs of opening Club O. The Club O beach is full each day. $20 a day for chairs and an umbrellas. Seems to be the same old chairs and umbrellas. The Perch is open with daily specials and a happy hour 1:30-2:30 PM.
