Hi, We are interested in visiting OB again. visited the island before Irma and found risque swimsuits were tolerated at the textile side of the beach for both men and women. Is this still the case? are we gonna get in trouble if we are in some risque suits at the textile side or we'd better stay at the C/O side? Thanks!
I vaguely remember the Baywatch name, but not the naked egg. I ate lunch there a bunch. Loved seeing the tourists do a double take when I walked up the steps naked.
I also enjoyed Pedro's as it had more shade with a larger roof. It had a lot of boat people as it was next to the taxi stand. I think the boat people enjoyed their lunch more when I was there. I certainly gave them something to look at.
Those were good times. All ruined by Irma.

We were there not long before Irma and could still walk the beach end to end while nude... if we finished by 9am when the Gendarmes got there. We walked past Pedros still nude at 8:55am and the Gendarmes just waved us through. I guess they don't write tickets on their own time. Five minutes later and we would have gotten a ticket. I think they were 50 Euros at the time.
This year we stayed at Residence Adam & Eve, so there were no end to end nude beach walks. We had friends hold two beach chairs for us so we could arrive by around 9:30, in time to pay Cedrick's workers.
We had enough fun to book again for 2026, but if our early retirement actually happens we may look into trying Charco del Palo for 2027 just to see if a naturist village can be as much fun as Club Orient was.

I didn't phrase my last comment very well. Back in the day, you could walk the whole beach nude at any time of day.
